Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in theatre?
It began at one of the community theatres near me called Old Courthouse Theatre, but my interest really peaked when I started high school and had the pleasure of being taught by Alumna Shellie Hyser. She really brought me out of my shell and showed me the wonderful world of theatre and the impact it can have on a community and the world.

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to start a career in stage acting, mainly focused in musical theatre.

What is your favorite thing about the Department of Theatre?
My favorite thing about this theatre department is our incredibly talented faculty. Their experience in the field, continuous pursual of art and their unrelenting desire for education at this institution is always so inspiring.

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
I do enjoy participating in volunteer events involving theatre where I can, specifically, when I have free time, I like to help out at my old high school in the productions they put on.

When you are not in class, studying, working or rehearsing, what do you like to do for fun?
I love listening to musicals and going out to see shows, supporting live theatre. I’m also an officer of the newly rebranded circus arts club on campus Queen City Circus.
