Give a little general information about yourself: How did you become interested in music?
I had always loved listening to music and going to concerts with my mom from a really young age. I got started with piano lessons and fell in love with playing. Once I got to middle school, I discovered the cello and stuck with it because it is such a versatile instrument.
What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to be a sound designer after graduation for both film and live theatre.
What is your favorite thing about UNC Charlotte, the College of Arts + Architecture, or the Department of Music?
My favorite thing about the Department of Music is how often I get to collaborate with other students either in class or in ensembles. You learn a lot from working with so many different types of people!
Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
I work on campus as a Robinson Hall Technician, so I'm helping out with performances from each department. When I'm not doing that, I assist with audio for the Charlotte Symphony!
Tell us about your experience in the Arts + Architecture Honors Program.
Being in AAHP, I've been able to meet students, like me, who share a love for learning, from the architecture and arts departments that I may not have met before.
When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I love to watch movies and cook with friends! Right now, I'm also trying to learn how to skateboard.
