How did you become interested in architecture?
I used to draw a lot as a child. It started with small pictures of my grandmother's house. Over time, I would iterate the image while adding more details and richness. I didn’t know how to articulate this fascination with the built environment, but my interests would be explained once I reached high school. During my college and degree search, I was able to come across the profession known as Architecture. After getting in contact with professionals and college students, I learned more about the major and career path. Thus, I decided to pursue this opportunity as a program of study.

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to have a career that allows me to serve communities that are congruent to the ones that shaped who I have become.

What is your favorite thing about UNC Charlotte, the College of Arts + Architecture, or the School of Architecture?
My favorite thing about UNC Charlotte is opportunity. Opportunity for learning, networking, trying new things, and meeting new people. It has presented me with so many opportunities throughout my entire academic career.

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts/design community?
I have participated in student volunteer opportunities with the Second Harvest Foodbank of Metrolina. I have also served as a student notetaker for the Office of Disability Services.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I am a gamer by heart. I enjoy playing video games such as Platformers, RPGS, Open World, and fighting Games. (I am a Nintendo and Sony Kid lol.) I am a comic book superhero movie fan, so I enjoy Marvel movies and DC animated content. Drawing and reading are other hobbies that I partake in my spare time.
