Give a little general information about yourself: how did you become interested in the arts?
Theatre was honestly a game of chance. Life threw me a serious curveball right before classes started and it derailed everything I thought college would be for me. I realized I needed to change my major, so I picked Theatre out of the slim hope that it would lead me to film, only to find out that Theatre was the field I truly belonged in. Ever since then, my love for it has only grown.

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to teach theatre at the secondary-collegiate level while still attempting to pursue my love of acting and directing outside of the classroom.

What is your favorite thing about the College of Arts + Architecture or the Department of Theatre?
Coming into UNC Charlotte and the Department of Theatre, I was incredibly nervous due to my very limited experience and knowledge of the world of theatre. I was sure that I’d be singled out as an outsider instantly; however, the entire department welcomed me fully, and through everyone involved – from students to professors – I have grown so much in these past two years.

Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?
My experience is pretty limited but I do have the pleasure of working at The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte this summer as a camp counselor. That experience has been life-changing!

When you are not in class, studying, working, or rehearsing, what do you like to do for fun?
I am an avid film lover, and you can almost always catch me in the middle of watching a new movie. I also love podcasting and am currently planning on relaunching my podcast that I ran a couple of years ago!
