How did you become interested in architecture?
I became interested in architecture when I was in high school. I remember thinking about the idea of designing something in your head, then seeing it built in real life, and how that experience would be. To me, architecture is a form of art that expresses the designer's emotions, culture, and interests, and THAT is something I wanted to become part of.

What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to be involved in a career where I try different things as much as possible. I want to be able to learn from all the different ways to approach design, and, hopefully, find something I like and desire to approach for the rest of my life.

What is your favorite thing about UNC Charlotte, the College of Arts + Architecture, or the School of Architecture?
My favorite thing about the College of Arts + Architecture is the work environment we create as students. We become a big family that learns from each other and, most importantly, supports each other when needed. I think that connection is key for our development as inspiring architects.

When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
When I am not in class, I am always looking for something exciting to do. At the moment, Triathlons are a big part of my life. It challenges me not only physically, but mentally, so training for upcoming races takes up a lot of my time.
